Promotional poster fpr Silver Sword

Sell A Door Theatre Company will be visiting the Exeter Northcott Theatre from 27-31 October with an adaptation of Ian Serraillier’s best selling book The Silver Sword. As part of the tour the company are looking for children across the UK to play the role of Bronia.

Bronia is 7-10 years old over the course of the play. She has spent a lot of time being raised by her siblings, as both of her parents were taken from them during the war, and the Silver Sword tells of their quest to find them again. Bronia is incredibly artistic. She is forced to grow up quickly and draws images of the war that show her depth of understanding of what is going on.

To audition, girls will need to be between the ages of 7 and 12, but be shorter than 5 foot tall, and look comfortably younger than 10. In the audition, they will be asked to perform some sides from the show, and possibly sing a song.

From the Exeter area, we need:
1 girl who will be needed for rehearsals from the 24th October and for shows at the Exeter Northcott Theatre from the 27th to the 31st October.

If you are interested or have any suggestions for the role should be emailed to: [email protected]

Successful applicants will be invited to audition at Cygnet Theatre on Saturday 11th July.
