Shakespeare for Everyone (Comedies)

If you think Shakespeare isn’t for you, or even if you love his plays, this workshop is for you.

Led by our Creative Director Martin Berry, who has created seven different Shakespeare productions, this 3-hour workshop will teach tips and techniques to unlock Shakespeare’s language, characters and stories. Using extracts from several comic plays, everyone will get the chance to play, have fun and move at their own pace.

Public Speaking Workshop

Northcott Creative Director Martin Berry has spent 26 years coaching people to speak and present with confidence. Using simple, non-scary techniques from the theatre world, this enjoyable workshop is a great chance to gain confidence in public speaking through discussion, simple exercises and fun.

Cut and Thrust Workshop

Learn the basics of stage combat with fight director Kiel O’Shea.

Day one will focus on form and footwork, learning the techniques of cutting, thrusting and parrying. Day two will explore more complex techniques including rapier and dagger, and swashbuckling. A truly unique, challenging and engaging weekend.
