UPLIFT

  • Show Information

Internationally renowned ensemble Richard Chappell Dance returns to Exeter Northcott with UPLIFT, a specially curated celebratory programme of transformative dance from some of the brightest young choreographers and performers working today.

The centrepiece of the evening’s programme will be a new version of Richard Chappell Dance’s seminal work Silence Between Waves, a flowing and mesmerising duet inspired by Chappell’s memories and experiences of growing up on the South Devon coast.

Shining a light on some of the dance worlds rising stars from across South West England, UPLIFT will also feature newly commissioned creations from Daisy Howell, Artistic Director of the Manchester based collective Night People, and Edd Arnold, dancer with Russell Maliphant company and former BalletBoyz dancer. Completing the evening will be performances by Chhaya Youth and Exeter’s Swindon Dance Centre for Advanced Training .
