  • Show Information

Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia is a thrilling and moving meditation on power and motherhood, a tragedy of great pathos featuring one of opera’s greatest antiheroines set amongst the intrigue of Renaissance Italy. Known throughout history as a notorious poisoner, Lucrezia is a complex woman in a dangerous situation, a cunning strategist and a loving mother at the same time. ETO’s first ever production of this great tragedy is directed by Eloise Lally and conducted by ETO Music Director Gerry Cornelius.

Performed in Italian with English surtitles.
