  • Show Information

The Children of Lir

By Owl on the Roof Theatre

7pm – 7:50pm

Aoife’s family tree is wilting. The clutter and mess of old memories needs tidying away before her childhood home can be sold. After the death of the family patriarch Aoife reconnects with her sister’s widower – Lir. Lir brings the children to the house in an attempt for them to reconnect with their deceased mother and her lineage. However, the house seems to respond to Aoife. Acting on her subconscious, when the children act up or push her away, it begins to steal them away one by one.

Graceless

By Grace Plant

8:30pm – 9:30pm

Graceless is a one woman show taking a hilarious, moving look at the pressure Grace has often felt to ‘act like a lady’. The show follows her life from birth through the painful teenage years to adulthood, alongside recordings from interviews with her mother, Janet.

The show asks the big questions: Why won’t her mother go to restaurants with thick tables? What should she blame her grandmother for? Why isn’t she allowed to wear ugg boots?

Graceless is perfect for mothers, daughters and anyone who has cried in a Marks and Spencer’s changing room.
