On the right, a man in black, religious clothing, including a crucifix around his neck, faces the man on the left. In the middle, some steps lead up to an upper platform where a woman wearing a beautiful white dress and a blue velvet cape with a gold trim stands in a golden-lit alcove. She wears a grand looking headpiece and stares straight ahead. There are candles in brackets either side of her. The background is made up of a textured wall bathed in turquoise light and long blue curtains on both sides.

On the right, at the top of some steps, a man watches on. He wears a plain black long coat and black boots and his left hand is holding onto the hilt of his sheaved sword.
