Dear Participant,
Firstly, thank you for booking to come along to the Public Speaking skills session on Wednesday. All the income we receive for our classes and courses goes towards supporting our charitable work, so we are hugely grateful to you.
You don’t need to bring anything with you other than a notebook and pen. However, in the afternoon, everyone in the group (we have between 20 and 25 people in total) will ‘have a go’ at delivering some text aloud. I will bring texts for you to use, but if you would like to bring something short of your choice (about 100 words), you are welcome to.
Other than that, just bring a willingness to gently (or enthusiastically!) take part. I promise it will be graded to your level of confidence, and it will be fun.
Come to the main box office at the Barnfield Theatre (NOT the Northcott) for 11am, and I will meet you all there.
Tea and coffee will be available at the bar (and something stronger if you need it!), and you may wish to bring lunch as we will break for about 45 minutes in the middle of the day.
