We’re looking for voluntary local performers to form a community ensemble for our next Made by Exeter Northcott production.

This landmark production, yet to be announced, will be directed for the theatre by our Creative Director Martin Berry, building on the phenomenal success of The Commotion Time in 2024 (pictured).

The Commotion Time was described as a “stunning world premiere” and awarded five-stars by The Stage, and marked our return to producing drama after a three-year hiatus. The historical drama featured a 40-strong community ensemble and choir sharing the stage with a professional cast, all of whom had links to the South West.

For the first time since I moved to Exeter 17 years ago I got to know people other than those I work with. It’s made me feel part of the community. It’s reminded me how much I enjoy not just performance but being part of a creative process… I feel as though I’ve rediscovered part of myself. It has also meant a big grin on my face throughout the run and ever since!
