Student Trustee 2026 Role Description

Are you passionate about South West theatre? Exeter Northcott is on the lookout for a new Student Trustee to join its Board for up to two years. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to become involved with one of the South West’s major theatres and learn how a professional cultural organisation is run, from artistic planning and finance to community impact, audience development and strategic decisions that shape the future of the theatre.

As a Student Trustee, you’ll bring an important perspective, helping to facilitate the Northcott’s connection with younger audiences, emerging artists and the wider university community. The position is designed to accommodate student commitments, comprising four evening Board meetings per year and opportunities to work on other projects that inspire you. You do not need previous governance experience, just curiosity, commitment and a passion for the role theatre can play in people’s lives.
