Unstampable: Postcards from the Still Possible
This event will be taking place at ELTC Building, 47 Preston Street. Please note that there are stairs to the workshop room and no level access/lift in place.
A creative workshop to craft your own “postcards” from a future you would love to make, led by theatre maker Hannah Mulder from MakeShift. Choose your own favourite way to make – writing, drawing, performing, music – or discover something new. A range of possibilities will be on offer. Expect games, creative exercises and playful conversation, to inspire you to imagine what a just and thriving future could be like, how we can get there and what future generations might want to communicate to us now, in a time of crisis.
The workshop is inspired by the themes of Hannah’s new play, Unstoppable, about positive social tipping points, but you don’t have to have seen the show to attend the workshop. Suitable for age 10+ as participants, but younger children welcome in the space, and all levels of creative experience welcome – you don’t have to be a practicing artist to join in.
A word from Hannah
“I would love to build and platform a community-created body of work made at these workshops, to inspire the change we need in the world, so your artistry, care and imaginations are most welcome (and no pressure to share what you make either)”
Participant feedback:
“Having started the workshop feeling both sceptical and pessimistic, it ended with a lot of optimism and a few tears. I would 100% attend again if I could” Sophy, Global Tipping Points conference
