Hannah Mulder presents
Reclaim Festival: Unearthing the Story You Want to Tell (or That Wants You to Tell It)
Sometimes the way we approach creative projects can be extractive – we mine ourselves for ideas – but how can we allow an idea or story to emerge and tend it while it does? This is unearthing – like an archaeologist uncovering something and bringing their experience and understanding to reading, shaping and communicating what emerges.
Maybe you have a thousand ideas and don’t know where to start, maybe you are in a dry patch or want to take a first step into making, or maybe there’s a specific idea you’re courting- or you’re simply wondering what your next creative project is. This is an opportunity to spend some time unblocking, inviting, playing with, shaping and unearthing what idea or ideas might want to have a deeper conversation with you, in the company of others.
This is a creative workshop for artists and makers in any form, at any stage. You’ll leave feeling more intimate with a story or idea and have some tools in your kit for how to generate ideas in a regenerative way.
This is a creative work for artists and makers in any form, at any stage, led by Hannah Mulder, an associate artist at Exeter Northcott and Artistic Director of MakeShift.
Whatever your needs, you are very welcome to join this workshop. If you have any access requirements that would help make attending possible, please contact [email protected] to discuss them and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
This event is part of Reclaim Festival, our yearly celebration of women in the arts. Featuring brilliant new writing, not-so-new-but-also-brilliant writing, workshops, music and more, immerse yourself in locally sourced female greatness, to be enjoyed by everyone.
