The story behind the magic of Mary Poppins!

Everyone knows the world’s most famous nanny, but who was the imaginative mind behind her? Paper Stars invites audiences on a heart warming, magical journey into the life story of P.L. Travers, long before she became a literary icon. Inspired by true events and told with a generous spoonful of imagination, this new musical follows young Lyndon Goff as she leaves Australia in 1924, chasing her dream of becoming a writer in London under the pen name P.L. Travers.

Blending whimsical musical theatre with modern pop, Paper Stars is a captivating tale of creativity, courage, and the power of the human spirit. As Pamela adapts to life in her new home, she pursues the spark that will become Mary Poppins, learning the bittersweet art of saying goodbye and how to find light in life’s darkest moments.

Full of humour, heart, and soaring original songs, Paper Stars is a celebration of storytelling itself – perfect for anyone who believes in a little bit of magic.

Paper Stars is an uplifting new musical about dreams, resilience, and the stories that shape us.
