Murder Mystery: Fallen at the Final Fence

  • Show Information

It is early April 1935. Friends and family are gathered for a party at a Devon country house. The last time they had all been together was on the 29th of March, when they had all met up in a private hospitality room at the Grand National. It belonged to Richard Caldicot, a wealthy businessman and the owner of Devon Lad, the favourite for the race, who had been trained at the Longbrook Stables near Cullompton by David Porter.

As the party is getting underway, they are interrupted by Detective Chief Inspector Appleby of the Devon Constabulary. He has shocking news. The jockey Peter Francombe, who rode the horse in the Grand National only a few short days before, has been found dead at the stables. He has been murdered.

The Chief Inspector is anxious to talk to those who knew Peter Francombe well. As the evening progresses, long-held secrets are revealed, and tensions rise.

All the clues will be there to catch those responsible, but will they be correctly deduced? The Chief Inspector is determined to get to the truth before the evening is over.

Your ticket includes a delectable sharing platter of continental meats, mozzarella with pesto, olives, sundried tomatoes, salad, coleslaw, and chutney accompanied by various breads. This will be followed by a dessert of theatre favourites, popcorn and ice cream.
