Murder Mystery Dining: Death and Darjeeling – an Afternoon Tea Tragedy
What could be better than an afternoon tea in a first-class hotel renowned for providing the very best version of this quintessentially English experience? That was just what the Simpson family thought when they booked a surprise for their father at the Excelsior Hotel in London’s West End little thinking that the day would end in tragedy.
Sir Edward Simpson was a businessman with a reputation for being tough, both in his business dealings and with his family. He didn’t suffer fools gladly and no doubt had made many enemies both professional and personal. However, today he was on good form until, half-way through a cup of Darjeeling, he fell forward onto the table.
A doctor quickly attended but Sir Edward had died, and the doctor was not convinced that his death had been a natural one. The Police were called and an investigation was set in motion. The Investigator called on the other guests at the Afternoon Tea to help him as he questioned those he felt had something to hide.
All the clues will be there to bring the killer, or killers, to justice, but will they be correctly deduced? The Investigator is determined to get to the truth before the afternoon is over.
