Family Deaf Rave
Founded in 2003 by Troi Lee MBE, Deaf Rave is an award-winning collective and cultural movement led by Deaf artists, DJs, and producers. Known worldwide for breaking barriers in music, nightlife, and the creative industries, Deaf Rave creates powerful shared spaces where Deaf audiences come together through music, expression, and culture.
There will be a free, drop-in taster workshop in the Clifford Room from 1-2pm, open to all Family Rave ticket-holders who’d like to explore the equipment and see how everything works before the rave begins at 2pm
The day kicks off with a Deaf-led, Deaf-taught DJ workshop, giving participants the chance to learn directly from established artists and teachers. Using vibration backpacks, everyone can physically feel the music while exploring rhythm in an inclusive, accessible environment. Following the workshop will be a joyful, family-friendly party where the fun, music and vibrations continue for all ages.
As the evening unfolds Deaf Rave’s legendary adult-only party begins. Click the button below below for an amazing night out.
This event is in partnership with the Exmouth-based Deaf Academy, the oldest Deaf school in England, to celebrate their 200th anniversary.
