Elevate Festival – Horizons

  • Show Information

Siblings Adam and Kay are navigating growing up in Torbay. While Kay starts to plan for her future, Adam searches for inspiration in his hometown. Horizons is a new performance by Red Clay Theatre, developed in conversation with young people from Torbay. The performance explores themes of young ambition, opportunity, and the unique impact of coastal communities on their young people’s ability to fulfill their potential. Informed by the words and experiences of young people from these communities, Horizons seeks to reflect the true challenges and opportunities found along our Devon coastline.

Since September 2025, Exeter Northcott Theatre has been piloting its new Clifford Company programme for recent graduates and education leavers. Across the course of the last academic year, a group of four emerging artists have been supported to form a theatre company through weekly sessions and industry masterclasses. Horizons is their first show.
