David has been a core company member at Little Angel and Polka Theatre, and a producer at the National Theatre.
He has given talks on his work in Spain, Italy, France and Iceland, at the Architectural Association, Bristol Old Vic, Central School of Speech and Drama and PLASA.
A recent recipient of a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England, a Society of Theatre Research Grant, a Peggy Ramsay Foundation playwriting bursary and part of the design team that won the 2025 Stage Award for Building of the Year, David is writing a book on lighting design for puppetry for Routledge.
