U26 Masterclass: The Silver Lake with ETO

Wed 13 November 2019

4.30pm, Exeter Northcott Auditorium

Join ETO’s Associate Artist (Learning & Participation), Bradley Travis to discover the story and the music of Kurt Weill’s The Silver Lake.

The Silver Lake is, for many, Kurt Weill’s masterpiece. Closed down by the Nazi authorities in 1933 and not performed for many years, this is a piece about those who are left behind and its biting satire still rings true for audiences today.

Taking place on the actual set, on the stage at Exeter Northcott, this workshop will provide you with a unique insight in to the piece.

You will discuss the story, debate the themes and you can even learn to perform sections of opera!

If you’re under 35, you are eligible for £5 ticket to either of English Touring Opera’s shows at Exeter Northcott this November. Please phone our Box Office to take advantage of this great offer!

As a U26 Member, you can buy your £5 ticket online. Just make sure you are logged into your account on our website and the discount will be automatically applied to your basket.
