BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS

Revolutionary Hero

7.30pm

THE GREAT HALL, UNIVERSITY OF EXETER

Victor Aviat
Alexander Janiczek

Two familiar pieces to open the new BSO concert season; the Hebrides, better known as Fingal’s Cave, paints a superb picture of a remote Scottish Cave, while the Eroica is one of Beethoven’s most famous symphonies – for its ground-breaking music as well as the crossed-out dedication to Napoleon in the original score! Mozart’s last Violin Concerto completes a performance of classical melodies at their best.

Programme:

Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture
Mozart Violin Concerto No.5
Beethoven Symphony No.3 ‘Eroica’
