BOURNEMOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS

Notes of Nostalgia

Thu 26 April 2018

7.30pm

EXETER CATHEDRAL

James Feddeck
Daniel Müller-Schott

Exeter Cathedral is a suitable setting for the incredible Death and Transfiguration to end the season, a tone poem describing the last hours of a dying man reflecting on a life lived and loved to the full. The Cello Concerto contains some of Dvořák’s most memorable melodies, while the Sea Interludes brilliantly describe the sea and its many faces.

Programme:

Britten Four Sea Interludes
Dvořák Cello Concerto
R Strauss Tod und Verklärung
