Metta Theatre Present

Little Mermaid

Tue 24 – Sat 28 April 2018

Wed Schools Matinee 1.30pm
Sat Matinee 2.30pm

From the team that brought you the smash hit Jungle Book, the award-winning Metta Theatre, an Associate Company of Exeter Northcott, return with their extraordinary new adaptation of Little Mermaid.  With spectacular circus, awe-inspiring acrobatics and spellbinding original songs this is a show for everyone.

The Little Mermaid longs for life on land, the Prince is consumed by the lure of the sea. When a raging storm brings them together the wheels of fate are set in motion. Sacrificing her voice to the powerful Sea Witch, the Little Mermaid and her Prince will face many more obstacles if they are ever to be together.

This breathtakingly beautiful production will enchant everyone from 8 to 108.  A triumphant tale of love overcoming all.

School Workshops for BTEC & GCSE
These practical and creative workshops will encourage students to explore classic text in new ways, and will give an insight into how Metta have adapted Hans Christian Anderson’s text into a stunning show for the 21st century.  Participants will explore how to reimagine and retell classic stories through spoken word and free verse. Led by Lisa Hudson of Exeter Northcott Theatre these workshops will culminate in the chance to perform short spoken word narratives inspired by the stories of Hans Christian Anderson.  Download more information here.
