Reclaim: Mean Girls Prom Party
Get in loser… we’re having a Mean Girls Prom Party.
Dolly’s Film Club is taking a moment to celebrate the iconic 2004 teen classic, Mean Girls. What better way to celebrate than with a PARTY? So grab your crew and don’t miss the opportunity to catch a cinematic banger on the big screen in Barnfield Theatre.
Before the film you can come along early and decorate a tiara (because us boys and girls can be Queens every single day), soak in some tunes and wear it to the screening in the theatre. Fancy dress is ALWAYS encouraged (looks from the film or Spring Fling theme) at Dolly’s Film Club, prizes will be available for understanding the assignment. After the screening join us in the bar for a themed cocktail and there will be a karaoke party.
This is a celebration of Queens, and bringing each other up – part of Reclaim Festival 2025. It might not be Wednesday, but you can definitely wear pink.
Means Girls, directed by Mark Waters, 2004, USA, run time 97 minutes
Babes in arms are welcome at this event (at parents’ discretion – please be aware that noise levels are likely to be high).
Fire Book
We’re Reclaiming the Burn Book, with our Fire Book – we don’t bring people down, we hype them up – because they’re fire!
The Fire Book will be installed in the Barnfield Theatre bar throughout Art Week & Reclaim Festival for you to HYPE up some inspirational women, swing by to make a submission.
What is Dolly’s Film Club?
Dolly’s Film Club (DFC) is a cult film club screening the camp, kitsch, queer, underappreciated and unapologetically enjoyable side of cinema, but most of all Dolly’s Film Club celebrates the JOY of being an audience.
DFC launched with an interactive screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show, and has gone on to host a range of films with a little extra catnip… from badge making to post-screenings DJs we like to have a little something extra at our screenings.
This event is part of Reclaim Festival: a week-long celebration of women in the Arts. Click the link below to find out more.
