Murder Mystery: Death Comes to Elsinore

  • Show Information

It is 1935 and the Arden Theatre Company were bringing their acclaimed production of Hamlet to the Theatre in Exeter. Rehearsals had gone well but on the first night tragedy strikes. In the play Queen Gertrude drinks a poisoned cup meant for her husband but, after drinking the cup, the actress playing Queen Gertrude collapses on stage.

The curtains are closed and the audience is asked to remain in their seats whilst medical attention is sought. However, it is too late, the actress has died and the Doctor called to the scene believes that she has actually been poisoned.

The police are called and an investigation is begun. The Police Surgeon confirms the findings of the Doctor. So, who was the killer and why did they kill? The Chief Inspector put in charge of the case calls together the core members of the Arden Theatre Company and asks the audience for their help in solving the crime.
