Elevate Festival: First Ripple Sharing

  • Show Information

This piece explores female sexual awakening through poetic metaphors, combining puppetry, movement, poetry, soundscapes, and Chinese Sign Language. It aims to evoke sensory experiences and emotions surrounding female pleasure, agency, and self-discovery. We strive to create living metaphors for female sexuality and look forward to seeing how its intimate, abstract nature resonates with you.

First Ripple are a theatre collective formed by three artists from the University of Exeter’s MA in Theatre Practice. Our collaboration began with a devised work in a course module and has since evolved into a shared pursuit of innovative performance. We blend diverse artistic forms to offer fresh perspectives, crafting rich imagery and sensory experiences that evoke layered emotional and aesthetic responses, inviting audiences into worlds where ideas, textures, and emotions intertwine.

Elevate Festival

This event is part of Elevate Festival, a week-long celebration of new work from South-West artists.

This performance contains depictions of sex and masturbation, featuring symbolic and metaphorical imagery that explores themes of sexuality and sensual experience.
