ANYTHING GOES written in shiny gold letters against a blue sea and sky background. The O looks like a life buoy and through the centre of it, a ship can be seen in the distance.

  • Show Information

Anything Goes is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to London. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.

Cole Porter’s immortal score, featuring pop and jazz standards such as Anything Goes, You’re the Top and I Get A Kick Out of You, is famous for its quick witted humorous lyrics and fabulous brassy dance breaks. This is a traditional musical that has one firm foot in the camp of true comedic theatre, creating a unique blend of heart and hilarity, there is nothing quite like it!

This amateur production of Anything Goes is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
