New enhanced hearing system installed
Thanks to the generous financial support of the Friends Of Exeter Northcott, we are pleased to announce the installation of a new enhanced hearing system in time for the Autumn 2009 season. The new hearing technology improves the experience for hearing-impaired theatre-goers by transmitting enhanced audio to visitors' hearing aids, or special headphones provided by the theatre. Equipment for both must be collected from the ushers' counter prior to the show. Problems were experienced with the existing hearing loop during the summer season, and we are delighted the Friends have acted so quickly in offering to fund the new system.
We are also presenting British Sign Language performances of the in-house productions A Doll's House on Thursday 24 September and Mother Goose on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 January.
